Today, which is called the information age, technological developments have become dizzying. Enterprises could not remain indifferent to these developments. Increasing expectations have also led to changes in the way of doing business. There have been changes in the traditional status of women due to legal regulations, increase in education level and social change, and their role in social and economic life has started to increase gradually. Along with this, the woman also began to express herself by starting to take on different roles, increasing her level of education and working in different sectors. Despite all these positive developments, women in our society, who still cannot get rid of stereotypical thoughts, face many problems in the introduction to business life, working life, promotions and family. All these problems inevitably affect the performance of the woman. At this stage, businesses should provide equal conditions to all female and male employees without any discrimination and contribute to their performance. Because an increase in the performance of each individual will provide an increase in organizational performance. In the light of this information, the subject of our research is the effects of problems faced by women in business life on individual performance. The research is conducted on female market employees operating in the retail sector in Konya Province. Survey has been used as data collection method. The data obtained is evaluated by statistical methods. As a result of our research, it has been revealed that female employees faced many problems in the retail sector and these problems affect their individual performances negatively.
