Abstract

Divan literature presents a great wealth in terms of important works given in different periods and the artists who created these works. The Quran, which is the main source of this wealth and is the basis for many areas such as divan literature, is both the holy book of the religion of Islam and a resource that is utilized in many fields. The Quran, which has shown its effect in literature starting from the Islamization period of Anatolia, is one of the most benefited sources by the literati both with its prose and verse forms. This utilization, which is the basis of the stories and metaphors in the Quran, manifested itself mostly in divan literature poems. The Qur'anic verses of the Qur'an, which have been used by the poets of Divan literature on many occasions, were especially handled by two poets in different styles. Fuzuli and Nesimi, who lived in different periods, differ from other poets with their stances on the Islamic belief. The fact that Fuzuli's poems are evaluated in terms of Sufism literature and that he is the author of an important work such as “Water Ode”, which he brought to divan literature, made it necessary to evaluate the poems of this poet in terms of belief. Again, the fact that Nasimi's verses of the Qur'an are mentioned in most of his poems and that this poet is one of the representatives of the Hurufic belief has been the main reason for a different approach to his poems. Nesimi and Fuzuli, who have the characteristics of “Seven Great Poets”, reflect the Quran verses to their poems and this reflection causes different perceptions in both poets, making it necessary to examine the poems of the poets from this point of view. In our study, Fuzuli and Nasimi's view of the Qur'anic verses, reflection of these verses into poetry and their evaluation through various verbal arts in poetry are discussed.
