Abstract

The purpose of this study is how the epidemic process is evaluated in terms of healthcare professionals and other occupational groups. Accordingly, the data obtained from 137 participants through electronic questionnaire were evaluated by qualitative and quantitative methods. In evaluating qualitative data, phenomenological approach was used, and quantitative data were analyzed with IBM Microsoft SPSS Program. Statistical analysis made; reliability and factor analysis are correlation, t-Test and variance analysis (ANOVA). When the findings are evaluated, it is seen that the participants express their opinions about not being able to socialize the most and limiting their freedom. Other challenging factors for the participants are mainly concerns about their relatives, deficiencies in the outbreak management process and lack of social awareness. It is also among the findings that for healthcare professionals, having to work in this process, their child's need for care and safety, not seeing their relatives and anxiety about them, not taking the situation seriously enough, and lack of consciousness stand out as compelling factors. Other findings obtained as a result of the research are that the tendency of leissure time is positively related to the educational level and differentiates according to the educational level with the professional groups.
