This research aims to examine and provide solutions to the foreign students studying at the University of Necmettin Erbakan in Turkey, facing problems in learning Turkish. In the study, phenomenology (phenomenology) pattern of qualitative research was used. The study group of the research consists of 11 foreign male students studying at different departments and class levels in the fall semester of 2018-2019 academic year. The data obtained were collected by semi-structured interview technique and analyzed by content analysis method. With these data, the problems encountered by foreign students in terms of terminology, academic language, grammar, slow understanding and lack of habit during their studies were identified. As a result of the study, suggestions were made regarding the extension of the time allocated for language teaching and the practice of listening in the Turkish Teaching Center (TÖMER), which was established to teach Turkish to foreign students.
