Review Of Turkish Teaching Undergraduate Programs: Comparison Of 1997, 2006 And 2018

Abstract

This study aims to comparatively examine the Turkish Language Teaching undergraduate programs that were implemented in 1998, 2006 and 2018. The research was based on qualitative research model. Document analysis (analysis) was used as a pattern. The data of the research was accessed from the website of the Council of Higher Education. Content analysis technique was used to analyze the data. Data; It was examined in three areas within the scope of undergraduate programs: professional knowledge, general culture and field knowledge courses. According to the results of the research, some courses were removed from the undergraduate programs and new courses were included in the programs. The number of vocational knowledge and general culture courses has increased over the years. On the other hand, the number of field education courses has decreased over the years. While there was an increase in the credit amounts of general culture courses, there was a decrease in the credit amounts of field education courses.
