Abstract

Smart phones are a product that has entered our lives in recent years. Usage areas are quite diverse and common. These devices also affect personal time management positively or negatively according to their usage patterns. In this study, the relationship between smartphone use and time management and whether these two concepts differ according to some variables were examined. Within the scope of the study, 600 university students were reached and the questionnaire was applied by providing return from 357 of them. The obtained data were analyzed with the help of SPSS. Correlation analysis, independent sample t test and one-way analysis of variance were used to test the hypotheses. According to the analysis results, a significant positive relationship was found between smartphone use and time management. While there was a difference between academic success and time management, there was no difference between other sub-dimensions and scales.
