The origin of the word 'museum' comes from the Greek word 'Mouseion'. This word is derived from the word 'Mousa' which means 'muse' and means 'place dedicated to museums'. Museums are non-profit institutions that explore, collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit tangible and intangible cultural values and heritage in the service of society. Museum education is an effort to understand people and themselves in time and space. To protect cultural heritage; to connect past, present and future; to protect cultural works of art; to learn and understand one's own and other cultures in a multifaceted way; to develop understanding and empathy between generations; to keep museums alive; to help museums achieve institutional quality. By combining historical traces and cultural values with current information, museums serve as an important resource for revealing historical heritage. Museum visits make students' learning more permanent by reinforcing the pedagogical activities they do in the classroom and by allowing them to learn through cultural activities. Therefore, museum visits offer unique learning opportunities in medical education. These include medical history, ethics and deontology.
