Özet

Bu derleme, çevre sağlığına hemşirelik yaklaşımını ve koruyucu bakımın güçlendirilmesini çok boyutlu bir şekilde ele almaktadır. Çevre sağlığı; iklim değişikliği, kirlilik ve biyoçeşitlilik kaybı gibi küresel tehditlerin halk sağlığı üzerindeki etkileri açısından kritik bir alan haline gelmiştir. Bu bağlamda, hemşirelerin sürdürülebilir uygulamaları benimsemesi, çevre okuryazarlığını geliştirmesi ve savunuculuk rolünü üstlenmesi gereklidir. Hemşirelik eğitiminin çevre sağlığına duyarlılık içerecek biçimde güncellenmesi, geleceğin sağlık profesyonellerinin çevresel zorluklara yanıt verme yeterliliğini artıracaktır. Fiziksel çevre (hava, su, toprak kirliliği), sosyal çevre (yoksulluk, konut koşulları) ve iklim değişikliği gibi faktörler, bireylerin sağlığını etkileyen önemli çevresel belirleyicilerdir. Hemşireler birinci, ikinci ve üçüncü basamak sağlık hizmetlerinde çevresel farkındalıkla hareket ederek hastalıkların önlenmesi ve sağlığın korunmasına katkı sunabilirler. Ayrıca, toplum sağlığı hemşireleri, çevre temelli müdahalelerde liderlik rolü üstlenerek sürdürülebilirlik ve eşitlik temelli halk sağlığı stratejilerinin uygulanmasında kilit aktörlerdir. Çevresel sağlık sorunlarının çözümünde hemşirelerin disiplinler arası iş birlikleri kurmaları, sağlık politikalarına katkı sunmaları ve çevresel adaleti gözetmeleri büyük önem taşımaktadır.
