Abstract

At present, it is very important that the job satisfaction levels are at the highest level so that teachers who have an important place in directing society can perform their duties in the best way and educate the people of the future at the desired level. For this reason, this study was conducted to determine the variables that affect the job satisfaction levels of teachers working in public institutions. For this purpose, the data of the study, the “ job satisfaction scale” used in similar research, and some demographics of teachers were collected using the data form prepared by the researcher. The research was conducted in the second semester of the 2019 - 2020 academic year. 121 teachers in various branches working in official secondary education institutions in Tatvan District of Bitlis province formed the working group of the research. Analysis of the data was carried out using the SPSS 18 package program. Analysis of data for two variables t-test and ANOVA was used for more than two variables. As a result of the analysis;. their teachers ' job satisfaction levels were determined to be” moderate." It was also found that teachers ' job satisfaction levels did not differ significantly by age, Year of service, and marital status variables, but did differ significantly by gender
