Abstract

This systematic review study aims to examine the application of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in individuals experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Using a systematic review method, research articles published in English and Turkish between 2008 and 2024 were examined. Instead of methods such as field work or use of scales, a literature review was conducted. A total of 9 studies were examined in the compilation study, which was carried out in two stages, February 2024 and June 2024. According to the results of these studies, EMDR therapy has been shown to contribute to the healing process and help reduce PTSD symptoms. Therefore, it was concluded that EMDR therapy is an effective method in the treatment of PTSD.
